About Us

OUR STORY

“About two dozen years ago God blessed me with three children. While my two daughters have found their way into adulthood my youngest, Brian, has had more of a challenge as Brian was born with intellectual / developmental disabilities. Our journey began on April 1st, 2016 when we created a “social group” that allowed Brian and his high school classmates the opportunity to build friendships. Within months this group tripled in size spreading throughout Northern NJ, which caused us to realize the obvious need for more services in order to accommodate this ever-growing population of ‘Special Individuals”. Since that time PBPNJ has formed a corporation, obtained its 501c3 non-profit status, became a DDD approved provider and is currently providing services to medicaid eligible individuals within the community that have aged out of the school. Our journey continues while growing our community center to meet the needs of the “specially-abled” community in Northern, NJ. Thank you for your continued support! We wouldn't be where we are without your help.”
